"At a morning tea in honour of the Australian of the Year finalists, the Prime Minister quoted John Curtain, saying that the people of the nation are the 'strength of the nation'."For those of you not familiar with Australian history or interior decorating, this is one of Mr Rudd's most distinguished predecessors, and this is a curtain.
Now we know why Rudd's staff are getting the big bucks.

Am I the only one who finds the favicon of the PM site interesting. Did John Howard have something like this looking down onto you?
I look at the webpage and look at the tiny face of Kevin Rudd in the address bar and I can't help but imagine a tiny, squeaky little voice saying "Hi, I'm Kevin Rudd, I'm from Queensland and my earwax tastes like a fine French cheese"
I expect he'll be quite curt in dealing with the perps. No pay rise for you!
The selection of Mick Dodson instead of Noel Pearson for oztosspot of the year says it all. Rights, not responsibilities will kiss it better.
From the days when Prime Minister's did not need a bevy of highly paid advisors.

Interesting link, BOAB. Of course,in less innocent times, Malcolm Fraser had the Admiral Benbow Inn in Memphis.
Thissy here adds credence to the theory that it is a dive frequented by prostitutes:
