I know for sure that Ant Loewenstein works for ASIO, but let's just say, I wouldn't be surprised.
First of all, he gets to visit anti-Bush activists in the middle East; second, no-one is likely to pay to read the crap he writes; and so how does he make a living? That is all.

ASIO is anti-Bush?
your argument rests on the idea that ASIO is somehow a left-wing anti-West organisation.
However, the idea that Loewenstein gets funding from some undisclosed political organisation is compelling.
DD - I'm not suggesting Australia's security services are anti Bush - only that Loewie's public activities are a facade and would be a great cover for someone who wanted to travel to Iran and speak to people on the other side.
I reckon he is an under-cover double agent for Mossad.
I like to think he's a spy, because the alternative is that he is just a douchebag.
