The "enviro-nutjobs" secretly believe both, their own propaganda that the green solutions will work, and the conspiracy theory, which is, that the energy companies are buying up the viable green technologies, and keeping them secret.
Their theory is that if they are pushed hard enough they will utilise those patents, and all will be well.
I'm afraid we all are in for a bit of a shock.
Judging by the collective gushing and ooh-aahing that goes on here about windmills and solar panels, you can expect some similar idiocy to be visited on us.
Looks like their reality check's 'in the mail' ...
