Our mission

Are you that special person who - weary from trudging the endless superhighways - just longs to camp next to a glorious oasis of the mind? Do you desire to explore new frontiers, splash in shared ideas, fill your belly with the refreshing fruits of inspiration, and bask in the gentle rays of fond reflection?

Well, you can fuck right off. This, my friends, is not that place. This place is... The ShadowLands.

9/11/45

Barbarians don't always win on September 11. On this date in 1945, the Australian 9th Division (with more than a little help from decisive action in Hiroshima and Nagasaki) liberated 2000 people from the the Batu Lintang internment camp in Borneo. The prisoners were freed with only four days to spare before the Japanese planned to bayonet those who were too weak to leave the camp, poison the women and children, shoot the men, and burn all the evidence.
