Our mission

Are you that special person who - weary from trudging the endless superhighways - just longs to camp next to a glorious oasis of the mind? Do you desire to explore new frontiers, splash in shared ideas, fill your belly with the refreshing fruits of inspiration, and bask in the gentle rays of fond reflection?

Well, you can fuck right off. This, my friends, is not that place. This place is... The ShadowLands.

Paralympians disappoint

The ShadowLands has been watching the Paralympics very carefully with a view to making fun of disabled people.

Instead, we are ashamed to say, it was much easier to poke fun at the abled bodied athletes, who seem to take themselves much more seriously. It is also refreshing to hear athletes being interviewed who have not done media training, and will tell you straight out when they are pissed off.

If you get a chance, check out the upcoming final of wheelchair rugby (it was subject of the documentary, Murderball) between Australia and the United States. The world's best player, Ryley Batt (pictured) is likely to be hemmed in by three players all game - and still score 20 goals.
